Public Transport Directions


For Merlin Park Hospital, Merlin Woods and Merlin Stores and Bar

Catch either the the 402 - Merlin Park or the 409 - Parkmore or 404 - Oranmore bus:  All come via Eyre Square, and 402 services come through from Seacrest, via the University Hospital campus in Newcastle.

For the 402 bus, there is a stop just inside the hospital gates, or up the hill inside the hospital grounds (beside the church).

For the other buses, get off outside ATU (previously GMIT - just before the first large roundabout on the Dublin Rd), and walk up to the hospital entrance.   This will take 10-15 minutes.

Catch the  409 - Parkmore or 404 - Galway Clinic/Oranmore  buses, which leave from Eyre Square.

Get off at the stop AFTER the first large roundabout on the Dublin Rd.  This is quite  distance after the roundabout:  you go past the entrance to the hospital (looks like a green park) on the left and Merlin Park Stores/Bar on the right.

Cross the road at the traffic lights (this is one of the main roads into Galway and is busy).  The hotel is just in front of you, the church and school just off to the left.

The entrance to Aunteen and Uncleen Woods is a little further south:  the gate is just inside Rosshill Rd (the first turn off to the right).
