Bus companies in Galway City

There are two companies currently running city bus services in Galway City.

City Direct Bus Company

City Direct (previously known as Joyces) is a private company which runs services in the north of Knocknacarra, and in the Salthill / Barna area.

Their office and deport are now in Lough Atallia Rd.

Bus Èireann

A state-owned company, and part of the CIÉ group, Bus Éireann run city-bus services in most other areas of the city, including the south of Knocknacarra.  To the south, these serves go to Oranmore.

Locally, their services are headed by Regional Manager Brian Connolly.

Customer / passenger services are provided by Galway Bus Station / Galway Travel Centre, in Ceannt Station.

Previously the local telephone number was (091) 562-000 - it's not clear if this is still working.

Bus Éireann do not have a local email service, but their head office can be contacted through their website or Facebook page.
